This installation spans two Benton County facilities in Corvallis—the Sunset Building and the Barbara Ross Building—each supporting essential services for youth, families, and individuals across the community.
These Benton County Facilities are utilized for Children and Family Mental Health Program and Developmental Diversity Services Programs and play a vital role in our community and county.
Children and Families of Benton County participate in Mental Health programs, including outpatient services, school-based mental health support for rural K–12 students, wraparound care for youth and families with higher levels of need, Developmental Diversity Services provide support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include care coordination, connection to community resources, access to housing and employment supports, in-home and respite services, and family support programs.
Given the nature of these spaces, the plant installation was approached with care and intention.

The goal was not simply to add greenery, but to contribute to spaces that feel supportive, inclusive, and thoughtfully maintained for the individuals and families who rely on these services.
